Do you like scene fashion and the music, but can’t seem to fit in with the scene? This article will show you how to use scene lingo in person and on the internet.
Steps
- Common words include rad, stellar, and kid. extra letters are often added when typed. i.e. radd, kidd/kiid
- some people type LiKe ThISs, but that gets REALLY annoying and is best used sparingly.
- to say that something is very cool or the best, phrases such as “(that) is the sex!” or “(that) is the shit!” or “So Vogue”(ps, Vogue is a fashion magazine and saying that means something is fashionable or modern)
- scenes often call each other bitches, in a playful way. Like, “hey Bitch, whats up?” mostly used girl to girl or girl to boy. gay or bi boys often call each other bitches too.
- scene lingo has been described as a mix of gangster and valley girl. so feel free to add anything of those two lingos.
- the only text talk to regular talk a scene is allowed to use is omg. when typed it is spelled oh-ehm-gee. not OMG. do not say lol in real life. or you’ll be a poser. thats not good.
- “rawr” and “grrrr” are additions. mostly used to express frustration in as conversation.
- know what sXe and HxC mean. sXe means straight edge ( a person who refrains from drinking, drugs, and casual sex, but still parties.)HxC means Hardcore.
- scenes are know for being very random. but be sparing. no one likes the person who shouts “I LIKE CUPCAKES!!!!!!” every two minutes.

- dont let anyone call you an emo kid. you are different separate yourself from that culture. it is completely different.
- you are not scene if you dress and talk like one. u must be into the music too. no jonas brothers and skinny jeans/bright eyeliner. they dont work well together. become invested in the local/indie scene, metal, screamo, electronica, or techno/trance. scene gets its name from music scene………..
- scene is sometimes know for casual sex, smoking, drugs, alcohol, body mods, or self harm. remember, you are a pretty princess(or prince)whatever you do to your body is what you choose, not what other people choose.
